Passionate about caring for others in their time of need, Natasha Nicole Washington excels as the chief executive officer of Washington Home Health Agency LLC. In her role since 2015, she manages a team of 15 employees and has become a well-known establishment in her local community. With this sentiment, she led Washington Home Health Agency to be recognized as the #1 Home Health Agency in Vicksburg and the recipient of a Best of the Best Readers’ Choice Award. Earlier in her career, Ms. Washington gained initial experience as a hospice caretaker from 2012 to 2015.
The mission of the Washington Home Health Agency is to “be blessed to be a blessing,” and to be a blessing to each and everything that they touch. Ms. Washington is proud to report that her staff goes the extra mile for their patients, as they regularly visit with them for special occasions and birthdays, rent limousines to take them to appointments and anything else to brighten their day. While COVID-19 has been a setback, she notes it has not stopped Washington Home Health Agency from bringing joy to its clients, albeit more cautiously
Before caring for patients in her professional life, Ms. Washington spend time taking care of her grandmother, with the help of her two sons, for five years until the time of her death in June of 2018. Knowing firsthand how hard that it was to care for a loved one with little help, she knew she could make a real difference in the lives of others through her own experiences. Shifting from the gaming industry, Ms. Washington eventually decided to seek her nursing assistant certification, later also becoming certified in phlebotomy.
Alongside her primary role, Ms. Washington holds membership with the Greater Grove Street Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Doctor Casey Darneill Fisher and the local Chamber of Commerce. She is also actively involved in community events, including health fairs, job fairs, holiday celebrations and donations to health facilities. Upon reflection, Ms. Washington ultimately attributes her success to her faith in God, along with hard work and determination. Looking ahead, she aims to spearhead more businesses that will help grow Washington Home Health long-term, such as a uniform/scrub store or CNA school. Ms. Washington also aspires to become a motivational speaker.
